3rd September - Final Show
Our final show of the year was held on Sunday 2nd September, and what a great day it was.
After a really bad week of rain, the sun came out and the going was great. The juniors were out in force as everyone tried to gain maximim points to compete for the end of year trophies. Lottie and Harriet both fresh from the team jumping at Weston Lawns both did well in the first class. Lucy, Anna and William Bower battled out the rest of the junior classes with Lucy and William both winning the 1m open as they both, unbelievably got exactly the same time in the jump off! We'll wait now for the scores for the year to be added up to see who gets the points trophies.
The seniors started jumping in glorious sunshine and there was some great jumping culminating in 1.30m qualifier. The course was tough but we got five clear rounds through to the jump off. There were no clears in the jump off with all the faults spread across the course. Simon won the class on Thomas with the fastest four faults.
Thanks to Gill Pollard for building some great courses throughout the year and giving encouragement to some of our younger members but still giving the older riders something to think about.
15th August 2012
The Championship show held on Sunday 13th August was a really good day, the weather was great and attendance was fantastic, in fact we were still jumping at 8.00pm at night.
The juniors, brimming with confidence from their three day junior academy camp strongly contested the junior classes and the rugs, sashes and trophies were very much deserved.
The seniors came in their droves and the number of contestants grew with each class. The going was perfect, the competition was great and everyone went home with smiles on their faces.
Our next show is on Sunday 2nd September so look forward to seeing you then
